A conlang (from the blend of constructed + language) is a language (human or not) consciously devised by an individual or small group of people, as opposed to natural languages that have evolved over time. They can be created for multiple reasons.

The Bengenese language is a constructed language spoken in the country of Bengen within a conworld, i.e. an imaginary world focused on Eastern Europe, where Bengen is located. Bengen was originally created as a fictional country in the role-play website NationStates.
